Native to: Marbled Red Foxes are not a naturally occurring wild species, so they do not have a native habitat in the wild. They are a selectively bred color variation of the standard red fox (Vulpes vulpes) originating in human captivity, primarily for the fur trade and exotic pet market.
Fun Fact about Cory: She is nicknamed our "Greeting Fox" as the flash of white fur is the first thing you see on a tour of our lower enclosures. Her name, Cory, comes from the name of the Animal Control Officer that saved her from an irresponsible home and delivered her to us at NoWw!

Fun Fact about Red Foxes: Like a cat's, the fox's thick tail aids its balance, but it has other uses as well. A fox uses its tail (or "brush") as a warm cover in cold weather and as a signal flag to communicate with other foxes.

Fun Fact about Albino Rabbits like Alice: When albino rabbits are calm and relaxed, their eyes can appear to have a soft, lilac hue. When they get excited or stressed and their blood pressure rises, the eyes turn a much brighter, ruby red.

Fun Fact about Dwarf Rex Rabbits: They have a unique genetic mutation that causes their hair to be 50% shorter than normal rabbit fur. This removes the longer "guard hairs" entirely, resulting in an exceptionally dense, velvety plush coat that feels exactly like fine crushed velvet.

Fun Fact about Flemish Giant Rabbits: Their ears can grow up to 8 inches long. Not only do they provide incredible hearing, but they also act as a natural cooling system to regulate the rabbit's body temperature.

Fun Fact about Flemish Giant Rabbits: The breed dates back to 16th-century Flanders in modern-day Belgium, originally bred as farm animals for their meat and fur.

Native to: Mountain lions are found in a wide variety of habitats across the Americas, from mountains and forests to deserts and swamps.
Fun Fact about Tioga: As he was bottle raised, Tioga is very attached to his caretakers, and can recognize the sounds of their cars and greets them with a loud scream. We think it says "Hi! I missed you!" but it probably means "Where is breakfast?"

Fun Fact about Bobcats: They are elusive, highly adaptable wild cats native only to North America. Weighing just 15 to 30 pounds, they are masters of ambush and can leap up to 12 feet in a single bound to catch prey.

Fun Fact about Bobby: He is quite possibly the sweetest bobcat on Earth - come visit him on an interactive tour, but beware - you'll have to pay the chicken tax!

Fun Fact about Rocket: He famously loves Dr. Pepper, which he had regularly when he was an illegal pet. Now, he gets a small amount monthly as a treat and enters a pure flow state during his Dr. Pepper time!
