Educational Programs at Our Care Center
We offer a variety of inspiring and informative educational programs hosted at our care center, featuring both native wildlife and select exotic species from around the world.
Our programs are designed to foster a deeper understanding of animals, conservation, and the importance of respecting wildlife and their natural habitats.
Please note: These are not tours of our facility. Instead, your group will have the opportunity to choose which animals your students would like to learn about more personally, creating a customized, engaging, and memorable experience.
Some animals may only be seen on-site, as they do not travel well.

Program Overview
Meet some amazing birds, mammals, and reptiles found right here in the Western United States—animals you might even spot in your own backyard!
This interactive program explores:

The lifestyles and behaviors of local wildlife

How animals adapt to urban environments

The challenges they face as human development expands

The role we all play in protecting natural habitats
Students will also meet some of our former illegal pets, learn why they don’t belong in the wild, and understand how non-native species can impact local ecosystems.
We’ll compare life in the wild to life in human environments, helping students build a deeper understanding of wildlife and conservation.
Raptor Force
An Up-Close Encounter with Nature’s Most Powerful Flyers
Step into the world of raptors and experience some of the most majestic birds in the natural world.
This program offers a rare opportunity to meet a hawk, owl, and falcon up close while gaining insight into the historic art of falconry—often known as the “sport of Kings and Queens.”
Program Overview
Participants will be introduced to the incredible world of birds of prey through an engaging and interactive presentation.
You’ll learn:

Discover how simple, everyday choices can make a big impact on the environment—and the animals that share it with us.
This fun and interactive program shows students that when we take care of nature, wildlife plays an important role in keeping us safe and healthy too.
Program Overview
How does recycling help our environment and the animals that live there?
How do skunks help keep our neighborhoods clean?
How can hawks and owls help prevent the spread of disease?
In this engaging presentation, students will explore the powerful connection between humans and wildlife. They’ll learn that by “going green,” we not only protect animals—we also support healthier communities for ourselves and our pets.

Animal ABCs
A First Look at Wildlife
Perfect for younger learners, this program is designed for curious minds and shorter attention spans—keeping kids engaged through movement, interaction, and hands-on learning.
Program Overview
Learn the ABCs of animals in this playful and engaging introduction to the animal world!
Students will meet some of our smaller, more interactive animal ambassadors while exploring basic concepts about how animals look, feel, and behave. Is a snake slimy or smooth? How playful is a ferret? Let’s find out together!
This program encourages curiosity while teaching children how to safely and respectfully interact with animals—both wild and domestic.
