On-Site Programs

Educational Programs at Our Care Center

We offer a variety of inspiring and informative educational programs hosted at our care center, featuring both native wildlife and select exotic species from around the world.

Our programs are designed to foster a deeper understanding of animals, conservation, and the importance of respecting wildlife and their natural habitats.

Please note: These are not tours of our facility. Instead, your group will have the opportunity to choose which animals your students would like to learn about more personally, creating a customized, engaging, and memorable experience.

Some animals may only be seen on-site, as they do not travel well.

A Personalized, Up-Close Wildlife Experience

Unlike a traditional visit, this is not a tour of our facility.
Instead, your group gets to choose which animals your students want to learn about, creating a more personal, engaging, and memorable experience.

Program Overview

Meet some amazing birds, mammals, and reptiles found right here in the Western United States—animals you might even spot in your own backyard!

This interactive program explores:

  • The lifestyles and behaviors of local wildlife

  • How animals adapt to urban environments

  • The challenges they face as human development expands

  • The role we all play in protecting natural habitats

Students will also meet some of our former illegal pets, learn why they don’t belong in the wild, and understand how non-native species can impact local ecosystems.

We’ll compare life in the wild to life in human environments, helping students build a deeper understanding of wildlife and conservation.

Raptor Force
An Up-Close Encounter with Nature’s Most Powerful Flyers

Step into the world of raptors and experience some of the most majestic birds in the natural world.

This program offers a rare opportunity to meet a hawk, owl, and falcon up close while gaining insight into the historic art of falconry—often known as the “sport of Kings and Queens.”

Program Overview

Participants will be introduced to the incredible world of birds of prey through an engaging and interactive presentation.

You’ll learn:

  • The basics of falconry and its rich history
  • The unique adaptations and behaviors of raptors
  • How these birds hunt, survive, and thrive in the wild
  • The personal stories of our individual bird ambassadors

How Helping Wildlife Helps Us

Discover how simple, everyday choices can make a big impact on the environment—and the animals that share it with us.
This fun and interactive program shows students that when we take care of nature, wildlife plays an important role in keeping us safe and healthy too.
Program Overview
How does recycling help our environment and the animals that live there?
How do skunks help keep our neighborhoods clean?
How can hawks and owls help prevent the spread of disease?

In this engaging presentation, students will explore the powerful connection between humans and wildlife. They’ll learn that by “going green,” we not only protect animals—we also support healthier communities for ourselves and our pets.

What Students Will Learn

  • The important role animals (like skunks) play in controlling pests
  • How birds of prey help reduce rodents and limit disease spread
  • Simple ways to make a positive impact at home and in their community
