Sam the Striped Skunk

Sam was found when he was very young as an orphan. His eyes were not even opened yet and he was believed to be a runt. He had no chance of survival without human intervention. Because of his fragile state and age, the rehab center he was originally brought to knew that he would need a forever home. In order for him to survive, he needed around the clock care and attention, which would ultimately mean he would imprint on humans.

He was brought to a wildlife expert in Southern California. She nursed him back to life and trained him to be an educational ambassador for his species. When Covid hit, she decided it was time to retire from doing wildlife education and knew we would be the perfect place to re-home him.

You can look forward to seeing Sam at different outreach programs!
