The Nature of Wildworks
At Barnes and Noble Booksellers in Calabasas
The Nature of Wildworks Wildlife Education Center will be bringing living wildlife to Barnes and Noble Booksellers in Calabasas on March 26, 2006 from 1-6 pm. This special partnership with Barnes and Noble will help raise funds to support our wildlife programs and to help assist in the care of the resident non-releasable wildlife at our Center. A percentage of all book sales made between the hours of 1 and 6 pm on Sunday afternoon, March 26 will be donated to our non-profit wildlife organization. On the day of the event Vouchers will be distributed in the store at our ‘Wildworks’ display to use when purchasing books and other items.( You may also email us for vouchers beforehand at wildworks1@aol.com) We will be promoting books about animals, wildlife and nature however ALL merchandise purchased (with vouchers) at Barnes and Noble during the hours of the event is eligible for the Bookfair contribution no matter the form of payment. This includes books, music, magazines, café gift items, and all other merchandise. (Gift cards, memberships and purchase of café consumables are not included.) On this special afternoon children and adults will get a unique close-up look at some rarely seen hawks, owls and other wildlife. You will learn about their habitats and roles in nature as well as hearing fun and interesting stories about the individuals themselves. You might even meet 2 owls named Barnes and Noble!
